Once ranked the worst school in British Columbia, Prince Rupert's Roosevelt Park Elementary School had more to offer than standardized tests could measure. CBC News reporter Mark Kelley spent seven days with the 210 students in the primarily First Nations community to judge for himself. The result is this compelling 25-minute documentary that first appeared on The National. The program highlights the dedicated, important and successful work of teachers, reinforces the message that students are more than a test score and that test scores cannot convey the real learning and hope that happen in schools.
